The Winchester Half Marathon was announced earlier this year by the ABP Southampton Half and 10K organisers, Rees Leisure. With the inaugural Winchester Half Marathon fast approaching, the Marafun team is working hard to make it an event where everyone can get involved. Scheduled for the morning of Sunday 25th September, to tie in with the Winchester Community Games in the afternoon.
Newly added to the Winchester Half Marathon, the organisers have adopted the Corporate Challenge from the ABP Southampton Half and 10K and introduced it to the Winchester Half this September.
Fee Francis, the Winchester Half Marathon Race Director said: ‘We encourage corporates to take part in our events; we believe team work is crucial to any company and so are team challenges! By introducing the Winchester Half Corporate Challenge, we’re giving different companies the opportunity to take part, build and train together as a team and they will get the opportunity to win a trophy if they win the Corporate Challenge Competition!’
At the ABP Southampton Half and 10K, Clarke Willmott won the 10K award whilst Aviva took the trophy for the ABP Southampton Half. Nikki Rees event manager for Rees Leisure said ‘By entering the corporate challenge, companies will not only enjoy the race but we can offer them some great discounts and benefits! It’s always worth emailing firstname.lastname@example.org for more information. We have set up different packages for the Corporate Events so the company can see what they’re most interested in and we can help!’
