When you come down to Race - why not make a weekend of it?

This year’s Winchester Half Marathon coincides with World Car Free Day and in seeking to support the city council’s initiative to reduce traffic in the city centre, we would like to encourage its participants and spectators not to use city centre car parks and instead to use inner and Park & Ride car parks.

Information on these car parks, as well as details of a dedicated free Park and Ride bus service on the day, can be found on the city council’s web pages here.

Please be aware that Middle Brook Street car park will be closed to parking on the day and will be used for promoting sustainable living and transport initiatives.

Here is your Diversion map for in and around the City on the day of the event... Road closures on the day consist of the Broadway (outside the Guildhall) for cars, buses and taxis can access this area. The rest of City / route will consist of rolling road closures through out the times between 9am & 2pm. Please allow yourself extra time on your journey as delays are expected but we aim to get traffic flowing and moving quickly throughout the City as best we can.
